Wire ski's added to new section on website

We now have a seperate section on the site for sporting themed birthdays. These designs have previously been found within the birthday section under male birthdays, where you will still be able to find them. We have added a new design - a pair of wire ski's for all those ski enthusiasts who enjoy the slopes at this time of year. In the future we will be adding more designs to this section so watch this space! If there are specific colours you are after just email your choice or add it to the special instructions.

With the weather getting colder and christmas on the way, we have a lovely selection of wintry designs to choose from. The classic snowflake design has been given an extra twist this year, along with a new shape for the christmas tree and star. Aswell as the new black card range, we have the standard white card with this years motifs but in slightly different colourways to normal.

We have reversed the handmade tissue colours, so instead of having a dark colour with a splash of light, the lighter colour is more dominant with the splash being the darker colour. If there is a specific colour way you require please email your choice to uni@unicrafts.com and we will accommodate it. As you will see there are our usual examples of messages to choose from like...'with love at christmas' and they can always be personalised with names of friends or family.

New for Mother's day we have a beautiful picture frame with the serenity poem handwritten inside. The words are so appropriate for many situations and make an ideal gift for mother's day on sunday 3rd april. This poem comes with the flower design which has been carefully twisted out of silver wire and can be set on a variety of tissue colours. We have some lovely new designs for mother's day this year, which can be found in the seasonal section. As well as our standard images we have added some more hand painted and wire motifs. There is a beautiful painted flower and also a flower & hearts design, which come in either red or yellow. In the wire section, we now have the wire word 'Mummy'. We still have the 'Mum' card but this can sometimes be more grown up so we have introduced an alternative which is great for the younger children who want to send a special card just from them.

Messages can range from...'with love on mother's day, to 'with love on mothering sunday' or maybe 'with all our love'. Whatever you want to say can be expressed on one of our unique designs. So don't forget to show the special person in your life how much you care on Sunday 3rd April.

We have added a new design to our range of get well cards. You can now select a handmade wire puzzle piece from the 'other occasion' section on the site. Available in our usual standard range of tissue colours this is a really fun motif. Often when we are poorly, this is the only time we get to do puzzles. These sumptuous handmade papers come in a black or gold colourway and are ideal for all sorts of occasions. The gold lends itself beautifully to wrapping wedding and anniversary presents while the black is fun for birthdays. The black has the raised pattern on a white background while the gold is the background with the raised pattern in white. These papers are quite thick but give a good quality finish to any present, and come in A2 size sheets. Now that we are in the festive season why not use them to wrap your christmas presents.

We now have our 2010 collection of christmas cards available to buy in really sumptuous colours. These can be found in the seasonal card section and are made out of gold wire that has been delicately twisted into motifs that are representative of this very special time of year. You can choose from 8 designs: angel, bell, crown, heart, holly, robin, star and tree. They have been designed to go on their respective colours but all colourways are available in each of the designs. The standard example is....'happy christmas' but as with all our cards you can choose your own personal message.

Maybe you would like to give a special card to the grandparents from the children, so why not have something like.......'with love maama and grandi' or use other familiar nicknames that are personal to them. Not only is this something very special, but something you won't be able to find in the card shops!

100th birthday - special number birthday cards

Celebrating a big birthday? Whether it be their 1st or 100th or beyond, why not give a personalised handmade greeting card. We now have on the site a 100 card which can be ordered in a variety of tissue colours. The example on the site reads 'happy birthday Auntie Dorothy' but you can have any message you like, so you may like something like.... 'with love on your special day'. We can cater for any age so if they're say 105, just select 'any age' within special number birthdays, and type in the number you require with your personal message. This section can be also be used for smaller children, for example their 6th or 10th birthday. Alternatively you can select one of the general birthday designs like maybe a shoe or butterfly and have the age handwritten as part of the message. eg: happy 8th birthday Emma.

So whatever your requirements, we can cater for absolutely any age!

Graduation & exam cards

New to the site, there is now a section for graduation and exam result cards. If you go to the 'other occasions' section under greeting cards you will find a wire mortar board design and champagne flutes, which can be made on a variety of tissue colours. So whether you are celebrating their graduation or any type of exam you can have a personalised card recording their achievements. There will also be a wire flower design which will be added shortly, however in the meantime any of the other designs we do could be selected and adapted with your wording. You could have something like..........'congratulations on passing your exams October 2010' or ......'well done, you passed!'

Celebrating a special anniversary? Whether it be for yourself or a friend, or family member, we have a lovely selection to choose from. There are silver wire numbers to represent the main anniversaries like 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60 & 70 aswell as designs made out of hearts, champagne flutes and flowers. These come on a variety of tissue colours and you can either have the messages suggested or have something completely different. Home to Roost - new lines in handmade greeting cards

There are some new greeting card designs in the shop 'Home to Roost', in Piries Place, Horsham, West Sussex. After the success of the delicate paper flower designs in pale pink and pale blue colours, we now have some wooden motifs covered in subtle fabrics in the shape of a butterfly, dragonfly and bird. These are mounted on pale handmade tissue and can be personalised in the same way as our greeting cards, with the name(s) and date and whatever occasion you require. They make a lovely card for a friend or family member with messages like....'with love on your special day' or simply 'happy birthday'.

If you're passing, be sure to pop in especially on a monday when Uni is working in there and can personalise your card or gift for you while you wait. From time to time Uni does work extra days in the shop and will be doing so more in the run up to christmas. Father's day - personalised greeting cards for their special day

With Father's day fast approaching on the 20th June why not choose a beautiful handmade card from our selection in the 'seasonal card' section. There are many wire designs to choose from. There is a card that has 'Dad' delicately twisted out of wire which comes in a variety of tissue colours, and can then have a handwritten message underneath or be left blank. If he's into sport, we have a choice of golf clubs, football or rugby shirts, a sailing boat and a racing car. Perhaps he likes to unwind with a pint or glass of wine, so why not choose the pint or wine glass. The later comes in a deep claret colour to represent red wine. We have chosen appropriate colours of tissue but if there is a particular colour you would like then please just email us.

Each one can be personalised to your requirements with messages like.... Dad, with love on your special day, or 'happy father's day' or just 'with love'. Handmade christening cards - now available for twins

Up until now you have always been able to order a personalised handmade christening card but now we can offer one for twins aswell. The silver wire that makes the cross design is used to make two crosses and allows for two names to be handwritten underneath. As you can see from the example on the site under the section 'christening, baptism, confirmation' you will now see the two cross option aswell. This one is for a girl & a boy so is in pink and blue tissue, but there are many variations to choose from. As with all our cards when you click on the trolley you will be asked to enter all the details you require, like names and a date. We would suggest just one name for each child as there is limited space with this option.

Alternatively you could choose the 'twins' card in the 'new baby' section and have christening and the date handwritten underneath. If you are looking for a gift, why not choose a frame or personalised photograph album aswell to make a really special keepsake and something they can treasure forever.

New raw silk photograph albums in blue

We have now added a lovely blue silk photograph album to our range, which you can find in the album section, under special offers and limited stock. These can be personalised in the same way as the other albums, and in addition we now offer a 'baby boy' and 'baby girl' album. These make a great gift for a new birth, or as a christening present, keeping a record of the special day. Alternatively select the name album and have the name(s) handwritten onto the cover with maybe the date aswell.

Why not choose a handmade greeting card to go with it. For a new birth there is the wire pram and for a christening the wire cross. This can then be personalised with the date or your unique message, to make the event truly special.

These are made from layers of paper on handmade tissue. There is also a silver wire crown and cupcake design which are mounted on various tissue colours for you to choose from. We now have the raw silk photograph albums in a pale blue aswell as the pale pink already in stock. These make great presents for a new baby or christening and can be personalised in the same way as our greeting cards, with the name(s) and date.

New picture frames for those special occasion gifts

Now that there is a selection of our card & gift range in the shop 'Home to Roost' in Piries place, Horsham, we have changed some of our picture frames. Previously you could choose from a distressed pine and a flecked silver frame, but we have now introduced two more, in keeping with the style of the shop. These are a painted wash effect in white, and a lovely cream distressed frame with beading detail. The flecked silver is currently still available but only while stocks last.

If you're in the area be sure to pop in - the shop is open monday - saturday from 10 - 5pm. Uni will be working every monday, so you can have items handmade and personalised on the spot.

With Mother's day fast approaching it's still not too late to send a special card. These cards are not just for mums, but for those who are like a mum to us. It's a time to tell them how much they mean to you and how grateful you are for all that they do for you. We have a lovely selection to choose from with some new designs this year as well as our standard range. New to the wire section is a candle cake, and also a heart in a lovely pink wire on a bright magenta pink background. Very exciting news! We are in Swan walk shopping centre, Horsham from the 1st - 28th February. We are trading monday - saturday, 9 - 5.30pm outside M&S. For that special birthday to remember, from age 1 to 101 and beyond, here at Unicrafts we can cater for all your requirements. All the main ages are listed in our birthday section under the heading 'special numbers'. We have a lovely block one for their 1st birthday, and then 18, 21, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90 are available in a selection of different tissue colours. If you select the 'any number' box you can then enter the exact number of your choice, eg. 7 or 45. Alternatively, you can choose a design from the general birthday section, and we can then write the age within the message. Eg: choose a wire shoe and have 'happy 12th birthday Megan' handwritten underneath.

The great thing is that any age can be catered for. You can also choose to have your card mounted into one of our gorgeous wooden frames. Choose from either a distressed pine finish or a flecked silver finish. Our customers love the idea of giving something that will be kept and cherished for years to come.

This is beautifully twisted out of one piece of gold wire and then attached onto a deep burgundy tissue. Name pictures & personalised name plaques

For a very unique gift why not choose from one of our 'name' products. The name pictures are wire names, hand twisted into the letters of your chosen name, all out of one piece of wire. Once created, this is then attached to delicate handmade tissue and can then be personalised with a message underneath. This is then mounted into a flecked silver frame approx size 10.5x8.5" which can then be hung on the wall. Alternatively choose our name plaques, which are approx 6x4" in size and come in either a silver or white frame. The name is handwritten onto torn white paper and mounted on matching tissue. There are many designs to choose from... eg. a wire flower for the girls, and a sport shirt or car for the boys. With the shirt you can have any team, in any sport, and if the colour you require isn't there just email us at unicrafts.com and we will make it to your specific request.

Personalised name mugs make great gifts, not just for christmas but for any time of year. So whether it's a birthday, wedding or anniversary, we have some lovely designs to choose from. There is a lovely flower design, and new this month is the star design. Each one is individually hand outlined and then hand painted in a range of colours. The name is then hand written on in the outliner too.

There is also a printed heart design which has been taken from our hand painted hearts that you will see in the greeting card section. Ideal for weddings these mugs can have the couple's names on and you can alternate them too. Eg. Jo & Nick on one side, and Nick & Jo on the other. We have a huge range of designs to choose from, mainly using a fine silver wire, but we also have fabric motifs and hand painted designs too. Special occasion greeting cards - we're open to suggestions!

Here at Unicrafts we are always open to hearing from you with your own suggestions. Recently we were asked by one of our regular customers to make a special 70th birthday card. "I have chosen a colour for the birthday card, just wondered if you could rustle up a tartan colour scheme as my friend is Scottish and very proud of it?!"

"I set about experimenting with different colours and different ways of layering the tissue, and have to say, I was very pleased with the end result" says Uni Millichap. So much so that this has now become an option on the site. If you go to the birthday section, then special number birthday's you will find it in the top row. You can choose two main colours and whichever number you require. As with all our designs, you can then personalise your card with your own special message.

There's still plenty of time to order your personalised christmas cards, just go to the seasonal cards section under other occasions. Choose from the wire holly, snowflake and christmas tree designs in either red or silver wire. Alternatively you can select from any of my general card designs and I can personalise them with a christmas message.

There are now some new designs in the greeting card section for you to order. In 'female birthdays' you will find a lovely cupcake card for all those cake fans!! and in 'male birthdays' there is a star which also appears in the other occasion section with it's own heading 'you're a star'. Also in this catagory there is now a new job section where you will find a briefcase and the wire word 'farewell'. In 'retirement' you will find a suitcase for those off travelling, in 'driving test' an L plate , and in 'new baby' you will find 2 prams for those having twins.

We are constantly updating tissue colours and designs so make sure you check in regularly to see what's new!

Our special occasion greeting cards are suitable for all ages from a new born baby, to children, teenagers, mums & dad's, to grandparents and aunts & uncles. We can cater for any special age birthday, and so far we have made a card for someone celebrating their 101st birthday! Most of our unique designs are hand twisted out of wire and then attached to delicate handmade tissue paper. Customers often comment that the tissue looks like feathers!

Our christmas range follows a similar vein with designs hand twisted out of wire. Choose from the following designs: snowflake, holly and tree, or select your own from our main range of greeting cards. Once you have chosen the colour of your wire and paper just type in the message you would like to see handwritten onto the front of your card. It's as simple as that!
